The world is ugly and largely bland, at least so far. The story is told largely in cutscenes which are few and far between (they're beautifully done tho) Honestly it was a couple of things, taken on their own i could forgive them but all together and in my eyes what resulted was unforgivable.įor 1, there are no towns or hardly any people to interact with short of 1 pseudo camp/village, and there's nothing really to do or explore there anyway. Also, everyone is voiced, so I appreciated that too. The replay-ability is there is you enjoyed the journey as much as I did.Įdit: I also liked that you do not need to grind, EVER. Just know there is a lot of hype surrounding the game but it is worth most of it for sure, but just know it's not a perfect game.

I don't foresee the prices going down any time soon. I also completed the side quest that leads to an awesome unlockable within the game towards the end. I clocked in around 21 hours by taking my sweet time in reading in-game bios, journals, etc. I feel like I have a part of Sega's history and I appreciate what it tried to do and accomplished. The Japanese version is cheaper but I want to be able to read and know what I need to do, part of the mystery is reading the lore of the game that gives you a better understanding. I definitely recommend the price point for any diehard Saturn collector. The battle system is really fun and total works for Panzer game. Really shows what the Saturn can do, it's not the best game graphically the system offers but it is well put together. There are no "my dog is trapped in a dangerous dungeon, save him!" missions. The side quests (there's not many of them but they're there) does not detract from his mission overall. And he doesn't want to lose sight of that, initially.

There is a sense of urgency in Edge's quest because he has one goal in mind - revenge. The progression of the game is logical and makes sense. I don't want to ruin it but all I can say it starts off with a typical tale of revenge but oh boy. It leaves a lot to the imagination but the world itself is so interesting and captivating.
